Am I able to keep the same phone number, even if my old phone is broken?

I hope this is posted in the right place, apologies if not.

So my phone is broken (it won't even switch on) and I need to buy another one. I need to keep the same phone number.

I'm not able to receive texts or anything to verify that my number is mine because my phone is broken.

How can I keep the same phone number when I get a new phone?

I tried upgrading but that didn't work because I couldn't receive a security check pin.

Could I just take the sim card from my broken phone and put it in a new phone? Or is there a better way to get a new phone and keep the same number?

Hello @fraser7

Thanks for coming to the community.

You have absolutely posted in the right place.

You can take your SIM out of your broken phone and use this in your new one.

If your SIM does not fit then you can order a replacement SIM by either giving us a call or ordering this online.

I hope this helps,

Katie 🙂
