Ordered in-store on August 25th and told a 1-2 week wait. Understandable.
Contact the store after 2 weeks pass, no phone yet. Contact again today (almost 4 weeks later) to be told it's already in-store, but I hadn't been notified.
Annoying, but it's finally here. Drive 35 minutes through Saturday afternoon traffic to go collect it, only to be told that it arrived August 29th (4 days after I ordered) and they've now sent it back!
I'm told once it arrives back (whenever that'll be) my contract will revert to the old one and I'll have to start the entire process again with waits of now 21+ days.
I paid £50 up-front originally and the bill for my new contract has also gone out. They aren't sure if/when that'll be refunded when the phone eventually arrives back at HQ.
So I'm £50 down, plus the extra billing for the new contract, have no phone being delivered, have wasted my sunny afternoon, and have no clue if/when I'll get my upgrade, overall 7 weeks or more if all goes well from here!

Hi @Dsjohnson.
I'm sorry to hear this.
You will be refunded your upfront cost once the return has been processed.
You will also be notified when the phone has been returned to the warehouse and you'll be able to complete the upgrade again.

I appreciate the reply, Jon.
Do you know if the original upgrade deal will still be available to me? That was my reasoning for upgrading, due to the enticing offer.
Thanks.

Our offers change all the time, @Dsjohnson, but if you make the Upgrades Team aware of the situation they will try their best to get the same offer for you.
I'm sorry that this possibly means having to explain what has happened to someone again.
Jon
