Hi all,
I have just got my 4GEE Wi-fi and it’s working great but it appears to be blocking one of my apps on my iPhone. It works fine on my old Wi-fi but as soon as I connect to 4GEE it will not load the app and says “connection failed” but the internet is working. All my content blockers are off and I have tried restarting my iPhone, removing the old Wi-fi connection, restarting the router etc but to no avail. I’m at a complete loss as to why this app won’t work with the 4GEE Wi-fi. Has anyone had a similar issue?

@DK61 Are content restrictions removed from your 4GE Wi-Fi device account ? It’s not your phone connection your using but the WiFi devices account.

Content Restricting is done by Phone No' or per SIM and be individually controlled by the EE App per Number.
Eg, if your put your Phone SIM which is restricted into a 4GEE Device then anything that is connected to that Router will be Restricted.

Hi @Chris_B
Thanks for your reply. Yes they are removed. I’ve double checked and where it says Strict, Moderate or Off, Off is selected. This is on the account for the sim which is in my router. I have also checked the router itself by logging in through the IP and there are no content restriction options that I can see and there are no parental controls turned on.

Hi @EssexBoyEE
Thanks for your response. The sim that’s in the router came with it and has never been used in a phone. I have logged onto my account associated with this sim’s phone number and no content restrictions are on.

Which app is it blocking?

Content Lock often blocks social sites. It is switched on on new & upgraded contracts. If just switching it OFF doesn't help, try switching it to STRICT, reboot your device and then switching it to OFF. That is seeming to do the trick.

Set the Router from IPV6 or IPV4/6 to IPV4 ONLy within APN or Profile Settings then Reboot and give that a go.
