4GEE Wifi Home Router 2 (Wifi Extension)

Hi Everyone..

Posting this note from Overseas as i'm just about to arrive in UK. I've done a trawl of past posts - but can't find something that answers my specific question. (Sorry if i've missed something).

I've got a 4GEE Wifi Home Router 2 Unlimited on order to ensure we've got solid internet on our arrival for the family. We'll be using this as our primary internet access. (We'll be connecting Apple TV, Laptops, Apple phone devices and some Google smart speakers - no PS/XBOX or other gaming consoles).

We're moving into a multi-story house, so i suspect that the Home Router 2 won't have the strength to push the signal upstairs.

I've read some posts about people trying to use mesh/wifi extenders with mixed success, but most of these seem to be around Home Router 1.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information about the Home Router 2 - so i'm wondering if anyone can assist me with options to add a more powerful wifi router/extender (or mesh network). Does the Home Router 2 allow modem only mode / bridge options or would plugging in a seperate router (like goggle nest wifi) cause double NAT.

Sorry if its a reoccurring question and thanks for anybody's help to find a path forward - the EE site doesn't seem to have a lot around this new router version.

4GEE Wifi Home Router 2 will not be much dissimilar to the 4GEE Wifi Home Router 1 in this respect.

They can't be run as Modem-only. You will have a treble NAT,: Mesh > Router > EE's mobile network using CGNAT.
