4G EE Data Sim Setup for PAYG MINI WIFI

bcoles95

Hi,

I recently bought a PAYG 4GEE Wi-Fi Mini and have sent away for a new sim for it from EE: sim arrived and I am trying to set it up and link it to an EE account I have set up (I use another network for my mobile) but when I try to link the sim to the account, I enter the mobile number associated with the sim and it then tells me to "grab your device, connect it your tablet, phone, laptop, and then login in and continue" but after trying to do it (although I don't know if I am doing it correctly).

I was able to find another page on the forum and was able to top up the sim via anonymous top-up, and so have some credit linked to the sim but can't use the credit to buy a data bundle.

Any help with these would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @bcoles95

Thanks for coming to the community.

The My EE account you have set up already, is this for a pay monthly account?

You can purchase data by visiting add-on.ee.co.uk.

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

MyEE doesn't work for registering PAYG MBB devices or at least those with data SIMs. It stops at telling you to connect your device & login to it, but when you've done as instructed it doesn't have anywhere for you to say you've done it.

You may continue using your device but you just can't register it to MyEE.

Go to http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status from the device will tell you your usage.

Go to http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase from the device to buy add-ons.

These should still work.
