4G Data Sim Setup

Hi, I've just installed my 4G Data Sim into a Teltonika RUT950 router (was 1st used by NotSpot Broadband for Rural locations)

I've received no username or login details or any config details for the setup of the device. The SIM will register on the network but will not connect to enable internet access.

Any advice please.

Graham

@DigitalGraham : Any username or login details are a property of the router, not the SIM. EE can't help you with that. Isn't there a label on the router or instructions with it?

Is it unlocked or locked to EE?

Is the SIM on contract or PAYG?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

The router was previously connected to the EE network but was introduced via a 3rd party contract for rural 4G broadband connections (NotSpot Broadband). So there should be no issues with the SIM working on the same network.

The SIM is a a data only pay monthly unlimited data plan.

Added: The router does have network setup sections, APN etc

WOW!!! Incompetence personified ...

1 hour spent of my life talking to Tech, Sales, Refunds ... being offered 500gb data limit, external aerials on the outside of my house ... to find out the ***** have no idea and created an ***** of a job.

So I've cancelled the lot.

All I wanted was unlimited data via a router with an exterior antenna. Not available from EE, yet that is exactly what I've got.
