Hello,
I have a UK iPhone 11 with e-sim and I'm thinking of upgrading to iPhone 12 Pro. Problem, I'm currently in Australia. Quite happy to buy the phone here, but I want to keep the UK number going for return visits when possible, plus occasions when I need to reactive the EE e-sim, eg for logins to UK sites. How can I make this happen? Can e-sims be transmitted electronically via email?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Esims can only be posted at the moment and only to a UK address but this won't be your only issue.
Sims can only be activated on the EE UK network so even if you get a family member to post the esim to you in Australia you won't be able to activate it.

Well that solves that! Best to wait until I make it back to UK then - if I ever do... Thank you.

I had the same problem, it's a huge pain when it's so hard to travel at the moment. Haven't had access to my UK number for almost a year.
