hi, I'm a new customer and should be getting my new EE sim tomorrow(new number), do I need an esim in my phone in order to sync with Apple Watch cellular when I sign up for plan?
also, can I setup my Apple Watch cellular plan as soon as I activate my new sim or do I need to have my number active for so long before I can add Apple Watch cellular plan to my bill?
thanks in advance

@alistairmck1 You don’t need to use the esim in the phone to connect an Apple Watch. The connection between the watch and phone is via Bluetooth and has nothing todo with the cellular connection.
An Esim is just a digital SIM card.
You’ll probably need to wait till you’ve paid your first bill for your contract before you can setup the Watch tariff.
