I had the pre order done online by 1315 on Friday, email with XKO received.
Every year....EVERY YEAR I forget about the trade in issues, previously the emails have said that there's an issue and you need to call them, this year it said there was an issue and someone will contact me within 48 hours. Nice try! I knew that in 48 hours everything would be out of stock until Christmas! Got on the phone with them, got the proper order confirmation email through at 1353. I'd paid £100 online for the early upgrade but the lady on the phone refunded it for me. Nothing worked for her, the way they share their screen and have you confirm the contract details, all broken so she had to read out lots of long winded scripts about who knows what because who can take all that in (not my adhd ass anyway).
Silver iPhone 17 Pro Max 256gb. Arrived today about 1330. I thought I'd be crafty as usual and get a colour folks don't care about, I thought the blue would have sold out quicker than the others because it's the closest to black and some folks still care about looking professional, not me I'd have dayglo purple if they sold it, but the colours they do offer I thought silver looked the nicest, not that anyone will see it once it's covered up, it worked well last year with the 16 and the white.
I hope one year we can do the upgrade fully online and still receive it on launch day, the amount of extra work EE put on their staff this time every year is crazy, someone really needs to take notice and get it kicked into touch.
