Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Guys, there seems to be ALOT of confusion as to whats happening here, and I can understand why. It seems even EE reps dont know what's going on.
Just to be absolutely crystal clear: xko numbers ARE NOT trackable, these are numbers used for internal purposes only, and receiving this number DOES NOT confirm your order.
Your order is confirmed ONLY when you receive an 003 number. This is a trackable number from the get-go. If you don't have this number YOU MUST CALL EE.
Also, I have a contact who works at EE (not a rep) and as others have stated earlier, nobody is receiving a Pro Max from EE on release day because EE won't have them. The reason is there's been a logistical mishap between Apple & EE (and from what I can tell it's EE's fault) and the 14-day dispatch is EE trying to mitigate the issue as much as possible and save face to the public. Essentially, every year Apple pre-designate a certain percentage of thier produced launch day units to themselves and to carriers, obviously Apple themselves get the higher percentage, then the carrier percentage gets shared out to the different networks: Vodafone, O2, EE, etc - and it's a first come first served basis. This year the other networks got thier orders in before EE, and that's left EE high and dry.
Only about 30% of orders will be delivered in the 14 day window. The other 70% are looking at a 28 day window, and thats just preorders made on Friday. If you've ordered on Saturday or later, you're looking at November easily.
System and technical issues aside, They've really fumbled the bag this year folks...

Strange as my messages from EE appear as -EE- and your message is ‘EE’
I don’t want to burst your bubble but if you are to receive your phone on Friday, the first reason you’ll know is you’ll get a message from DPD

The problem with statements like this is (&this isn’t meant to be personal at all) even though I don’t believe it. The customer services team not having a clue and giving out inconsistent information (which happens every year) only serves to actually make claims like this look credible.
if this turned out to be true I imagine we are about to have a lot of **bleep**ed off customers on their hands. Particularly those affected on anytime upgrade as that means unless you get out of the contract, no launch day iPhone as long as your on said contract - this is because new tariffs and contracts don’t kick in until you get your new phone.

I spoke with EE about this yesterday on the phone as I have never received an 003 number my order number is still starting with 02. The guy on the phone was very helpful. He stated that my order has been confirmed and is on the system and on track to be delivered for the 22nd. He couldn’t explain why i haven’t received a 003 number, he has put that down to the mayhem with the systems on Friday as I stressed I should have received a 003 number but haven’t. He stated I would just have to wait until I receive a tracking number from DPD. I made clear I wouldn’t be happy if it comes to Friday and I get nothing lol. He stated that I should never have been charged £6.98 for delivery so he has waived that. So I don’t think EE really has a clue what’s happening.

What did you order if you don’t mind me asking? I ordered the iPhone 15 plus 128gb in blue, I’m wondering if the iPhone 15 or 15 plus have order numbers starting with 02 and the pro models are starting with 03?

iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB Natural Titanium, ordered it on pre order day….spent 2 hours trying online only to spend another 2 and a half hours on the phone finishing the order

yes I was the same, about an hour online on pre order day then about 4 hours on the phone. I’m just hoping EE aren’t saying that our orders are placed then there not.

I’ve been in contact with them almost every day since and they said the order is definitely 100% placed on the system it’s just I can’t track it and not 100% sure when it’s actually gonna show up 🥲 I’m hoping it comes launch day
