iPhone 15 & 15 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

It didn't. Some people who ordered on Saturday still got theirs on release day. It's just EE not doing a good job of managing a phone release

Think this affects the normal iPhone more than the pro and pro max. Believe the pros are being built in China.

Not sure if this was to do with new watch or a movement in my Pro Max order , anyone else get this ?

If this happened in the last 24hrs, that doesn't explain the last month of production for the iPhones.

EDIT: Also, Pegatron accounts for 10% of iPhone production in India. So a temporary halt in production wouldn't impact distribution all that much.

I know this isn't good for a pre-order or release of a new phone. but what we have to remember myself included is this is not just an ee problem. every single telecom provider is having problems. EE is the largest provider so it's going to be harder to get it on EE than say 02. ee simply has a much larger customer base. And whilst you can go to say john lewis or currys. the reason they had stock and was somewhat easier to get one from them and even directly from Apple is not everyone can afford to buy one outright. spending over £1000 is out of reach for a lot of people.

This does not in any way explain why people who pre-ordered later than Friday received their phones before people who managed to pre-order on the day.  especially when they are on the same phone. same colour same storage.

Also does not help when customer service is not all signing off the same hymn sheet. It is quite evident they are telling you things to not make you angry and to get you off the phone or chat quicker.

Certainly not just an EE issue 

You can't get a pro max anywhere!! Sold out and no stock

Where I live even on apple site there's been no stock anywhere for even collection

Next year I'm certainly ordering off very first then ringing EE

Is this just pro max do you know? I’m waiting on a pro just wondering if it’ll be the same issue.

The thing is it must be hard to know "Oh this year the iPhone is going to be popular, we need more staff and more capacity for the ordering system"

 

Where i work different people people ordered the Pro Max. like 6 of us all together. 2 of us via EE 2 via Vodaphone. 1 via sky 1 via o2. We talked about it yesterday, all struggling to get stock. all customer services struggling. This is an apple thing. And bear in mind i read EE had around 47% stock of the new iPhones.

I have ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max as an Anytime Upgrade. I have received text and email to tell me to return my old phone by 4th October. I have even received the returns pack. The CS said I wouldn’t have to return it until I receive my new phone. 
it’s unlikely I’ll get the new phone before 4th October. 

What’s going on?
