Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Well actually I was in the apple shop today talking to a sales rep, he informed me that apple are shipping twice a week to the uk, and if I’ve been given a timeframe then I will receive my phone on or before my date. (14 days), I ordered 14PM Iin blue on 16/09.

So I have been informed anyone who ordered on 15th,
orders will be shipped out between 22nd and 26th as the first batch.. wonder how true that is tbh

Along the lines of what I was told (shipping Monday). However, I think that is nonsense. In the last 4 days I’ve been told 1) I’ll receive on 22nd 2) order is at warehouse and ready to be picked 3) 28 days 4) shipping Monday 5) they have absolutely no idea but will ship once they receive more

I've had number 5 three times. They had no idea, but I finally got the "up to 28 days" answer today.
I spoke to them about my Bill, which is in credit. Apparantly, your up front fee that you pay for your phone goes onto your monthly bill if your order is pending, so yesterday my phone bill was deducted from mine. I was told that it's an odd system but they can't do anything about it.

Out of interest I thought I’d look at some other network communities (mainly o2 and Vodafone) and the complaints on there are EXACTLY the same as here. Being told different things, not being able to order, confusing over when they will get their phones.

Had a nightmare upgrading my phone order a 15 pro on the 15th order got cancelled and nobody knew why order again on the 18th that got cancelled spoke to someone on live chat this morning who re ordered it had a confirmation email then 2 hours later had a text from ee to say my phone was with dpd shortly after that had text from dpd and tracking shows they have it so finally sorted guess it depends who you speak to some cant be bothered to do anything for you

Yep I can imagine. They are all pants at times. It’s why I’ve still stayed as three are by far the worst. O2 and vodaphone weren’t great either. Even giff gaff had its issues and the signal near me is pants. However I’m just going to buy the phones outright or on credit elsewhere and use sim only with EE for now.

My story: got a preorder placed for a natural pro max around 1pm on Friday. Got the "confirm some details" email, but didn't end up calling until Monday as I was busy over the weekend. So confirmation (with 003 no.) came on Monday.
Decided last night to abandon the order and take a look at Apple directly. After a couple of hours of periodic refreshing, a pro max blue (my 2nd choice colour) and 512gb (not 256gb, but who cares at this point!) showed up for collection in store.
Placed order through Apple yesterday at 7pm, picked it up at 9am today.
I appreciate that going to Apple and buying it sim-free is not realistic for some people, but if you can, there is still ocassional stock that pops up; just have to be patient! I definitely recall two pro max 256gb blue's showing up at Brighton yesterday (too far from me), and another at Cardiff.
