Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Unfortunately I’ll have to wait as I’m on an anytime upgrade but I think this will be my last contract with EE. Going to move over to Sky as it’s cheap enough and I get a discount. Will also get the worst data package and put a three sim in it.

One thing EE is consistent. Consistently lying, consistently terrible, consistently running from their problems they have caused. 

Last year I Pre ordered a 14 Pro Max, didn't turn up on day of launch and not for two weeks after either. This year got in early for their systems to crash... I was consistently told that I would still get the phone day of launch and even have an email stating that I will have it on the day of launch. 

 

Yesterday, I ending up on live chat to be told, I wouldn't receive the phone for 28 days then I decided to call EE because the guy on live chat was useless, like he was reading from a script and not listening to a word I said. So then when I called I was told by the guy on the phone to expect an email from DPD last night for the phone to be delivered today. Did I receive this, absolutely not... then when I emailed, the team member this morning about this, she then has told me I won't be getting the phone for 28 days.. like what is going on with EE. Worse experience I've had to date, and it just keeps getting worse...

On the one hand I want to be mad that EE messed up my anytime upgrade again, 4 th year in a row. And when I ordered on Friday I had to wait til Sunday to actually put the order through as like many of us here the systems were down. 
BUT I can’t hate in the CS advisor who took my call. Paid £300 to get into sync with iPhone launches as last year I was there at 1pm with my upgrade mostly in sync with apple launches. But because of the incompetence of EE last year I received by 14 Pro Max almost 7 weeks after launch for what reason I’ll never know and EE had no answers. So I was speaking to the rep and he instantly says after looking at why I’ve been asked to call after placing my order was “I’m not sure why your being charged £300 here, that’s why the system has said give us a call”. I know, most people know that annual upgrade between 6-12 months is £300. So to be told I’ve got a free upgrade a month and a half early as an anytime upgrade customer is a touch. Refunded the £300 and got my 003 number instantly. I was told 14 days. I’m fine with that as my 14 pro max is mint and works perfectly. It’s annoying that they messed up again and was hindered by their outages but on the other hand I might not have saved £300 if I hadn’t had the issues. Let’s see if it’s delivered in 14 days! 

I’ve got an O3 number and my order was confirmed on the 16th September but on my tracking I’ve just got awaiting confirmation of dispatch etc, anyone else in a similar position and know what’s going on?

 

Spoke to EE CS yesterday and they told me it would update today…

And I ordered at 1pm last Friday and did all the approval. They called back at 4.40pm to take payment for delivery due to system fault

I ordered at 3:30pm on Saturday 16th, Pro Max 512GB Blue titanium. Had to call up to confirm order, managed to get that done around 6pm after work. Received my confirmation and 003 number. The tracker on EE never updated until this morning when I got a text from DPD telling me Trevor will be with me between 1pm and 2pm.

 

if you don’t get a notification from DPD by 11am, it safe to assume you’re looking at next week for delivery. I’d ignore those 28 days things if you ordered on Friday/Saturday, can’t say filler certain about orders placed after that, but it could be as simple as DPD are busy in your area so will get to these orders as soon as they can

I’ve just spoken to live chat and they’ve said further DPD notifications will start to be sent from next Monday. First come first served basis and to keep an eye on DPD app for an update.

The problem will be the colour. I imagine most people, who are getting no update, ordered the natural titanium
