iPhone 15 & 15 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Don’t worry about the order number on myee, keep your eyes on DPD. I ordered Apple Watch ultra last week, myee didn’t show anything, called ee and they gave me a long number to track on dpd, the watch was delivered the next day, and up to now nothing shows on myee

You should need a pin like I did for the driver to hand it over. Mine was text to me by EE and on the app it says the pin. If you don't see one I'd call EE fast just to make sure. If it's an error and you need one they can at least contact DPD for you now. No point calling DPD as they won't give you a pin you should have for clear reasons. So might be best just to check with EE. Once its with DPD EE can go on the account and do anything thats needed like removing the pin.

Oh wow didn’t think of that, but wouldn’t they make it difficult for you to upgrade the year after surely? So keep the phone, pay the charge and sell it privately…surely can’t be that simple?

They actually don’t care.  The trade ins are handled by brightbox who give EE a fixed amount based on the model.  This covers all conditions except broken, which is why all they ask you is if it works and is the screen cracked etc.

Essentially brightbox give you grade C price no matter what.

You can upgrade without trade in right from the outset too and pay a fee.  I’ve never tried it that way though because the price EE give over the phone when you upgrade is always higher.  I’ll give you last years example…

iPhone 14 pro max 512gb - had a case and screen protector so in A grade.

When I did the anytime upgrade EE said it would cost £740 if I didn’t trade in, or didn’t return the phone  after 30 days from the pack arriving.

I got the pack and EE sent me a reminder SMS saying I would be charged £550.

i sold it to Music Magpie for £684

2 months later got billed £550.

same 2 years in a row (2 phones each year)
