iPhone 15 & 15 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

That's only if you order at this moment, Apple can overestimate the delivery dates though so I'd be confident in shaving many days of that if they ramp up production on certain models. There's been plenty of times on the Mac Rumors forum where people get dates a long way out only to have a week or two shaved off.

A lot in this thread ordered as early as the EE systems allowed as they were down nearly all day on the 15th so a lot if I was to guess should I really hope be delivered by mid Oct.

We shouldn’t have to be guessing what’s happening. These phones are expensive and we are all paying a lot of money for them so you would think at the very least EE would keep their customers up to date with what is happening! Even if they released a statement with what is happening and how long these delays are. But the guessing and the lack of information is ultimately what will lose them customers.

Took a gamble and ordered the PM NT direct with Apple. In essence testing a theory as i worked for them for 8 years and have been behind the curtain for launches discovering what I would call a madness come launch of a new iPhone! Considering I’ve ordered this one 2 weeks after my order with EE and added a trade in to the order it will be interesting to see which comes first! Current delivery estimate with Apple is 17th - 24th Nov. Ill keep those interested updated on how my order progresses with both! Ive not had a delayed text from EE although I  may have now just jinxed myself. At this rate - it doesn’t even matter lol.

Let the race begin…. EE v 

Apple has been able to give you a pretty good estimate between two dates as to when you can expect a delivery for many years and its usually very accurate so there is no excuse as to why phone companies cannot, they obviously know how many they ordered  and when they may end up getting new batches in so an Apple like estimated date should be standard in this day and age.

If I try to order the same phone I’ve ordered from EE, from Apple directly, it’s giving me an expected delivery date of 17-24th of November, as I’m going to Singapore for 8 weeks the week before that, I’m gonna hold off and hope EE come through

I had the exact same thing. Probably the same advisor. Yesterday he told me as I orderd on the 15 and one of the first I should deffo get it by end of this week. And he will CHASE UP WITH THE WAREHOUSE and call me back with an update…. No calls back. Nothing in the notes. And defo not Getting anythign this week. These CS advisors all tell you something different. They are making it ups as they go to entertain themselves by the looks of it!

I also ordered on the 19th, black Pro Max 256. Don't be expecting to hear anything for a few weeks going by what I was told on Live Chat.

EE (as well as other networks) will have opened pre-orders and said to Apple ‘we have 25,000 orders for each phone, + new customer offers. Give us 30,000 of each’

Apple then start dispatching and only give each operator 5,000 (due to demand, production issues, create more demand) and say that more are on the way. So basically the network operators have to manage that shortfall. Only Apple know how many devices of each type will be available anywhere at any point in time. Apple also want to reduce the network operator margin (& increase their own) by selling direct so they get more of the initial profit and the network just sells SIMs for connectivity.
For all their tree hugging advertising, Apple are pretty ruthless when it comes to making money and will only have a preferred partner until they don’t need them anymore.

The staged roll out (different countries different release dates) was supposed to remedy the launch day shortage. But that’s been going for years now & all it seems to do is dilute the supply chain even more as their releases happen.

It won’t surprise me if in a few years Apple only sell direct (maximum profit/no network discount) then we’ll be on here discussing how slow the eSIM process is…

I got the infamous text last night, but I’m not sure if it’s referring to my PM 256GB NT or my partners PM 256GB Black - I suppose it could be both but we’ll see. Might have a chat with EE and see what they decide to tell me today 😂
