Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

At this rate the new IPhone 16 will be out before we receive our 15’s 

an exaggeration I know .

 

I agree it’s the not knowing . It’s really frustrating

If very much is, plus the logistics of not knowing when mean ensuring I or somebody else is home with the PIN, 2 years back I cancelled a watch because trying to change it to a delivery location ended up with the watch missing for 4 days, the lack of factual info (as were all being told different) makes it difficult to plan - if they came out and said - you ordered at X, you are number Y and won’t see your phone until week Z  I think it would be better, the inconsistent arrivals and rumours are making people think/hope it could ship out any day over the next month

They could have give people a number they are on the list of orders .

then set up a tracking system where’s you can see what order they are up to , so say today it might say “up to order 300 has been processed and sent from the warehouse  “ and your order 999, you could gauge how long you will be waiting 

but it’s a complete unknown currently

Not even just iPhones

I also ordered a Samsung, but cancelled it, and now I keep getting emails/calls telling me to get in touch about it and when I do they say ‘we have no record of contacting you’

Just ended a live chat. These CSA’s are next to no help at all. They make you feel that each time you chat they could be messing something up on your order. I said I was as sceptical about my order number changing from the authentic 0033 number to an 02 number, they replied ‘so you want to cancel your order?’, so I had to reply “NO, I DO NOT WABT TO XHANGE ANYTHING ON MY ORDER. UNDERSTAND? Let’s end the chat here’

 

like these guys make the problem worse if you call up. Probably better to just wait it out.

Yes totally agree. Every time I’ve chatted I worry it complicates things even now I’m dealing with the watch mess up with lines. They need to put in more training and chat people that are technical too so can actually help.

Yeah I noticed this in the small print too. I understand the reasons behind people being annoyed though, I was lucky in the fact that when I placed my order (Monday 18th for the NT Pro Max 256GB) the lady I spoke to was transparent about the delivery dates. She made it clear that the phones were out of stock and I shouldn’t expect delivery until mid-late October. However, it seems like other CS advisors are misleading people for some reason. I  rang up to add a discount code to my plan later in the week, so whilst I was there I asked what the current delivery situation was like - the man I spoke to seemed to think they were going to resume deliveries over the weekend and into next week… if only they all set realistic expectations from the start like the original lady who I placed my order with!

Yeah  I ordered last Saturday as systems crashed on the Friday I also have a 003 order number
