Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

I can second this. I ordered a 15 pro on release day and they didn’t put my order through even though I’d signed documents they had no record of the order and had to re do the order. Now I have to wait another week for them to come in stock and be sent out, really annoying.

Unless I can source one sim free between now and a week or two, I’ll just wait.
Definitely won’t be staying with EE after this contract period though, not after being lied to and then complaints saying no compensation of any kind “in this case we’d offer no gesture, if you want to escalate I can give you details of ADR” is response I got. When my wife upgrades in 12 months she will move from EE and then myself 12 month after (Yes, I get the new phone each year then it hands from down wife, to then sons. We tend to alternate between a contract or buying sim free depending on the deals at time.)

So I just read there are screen alignment issues with the iPhone 15 plus oily hands can leave marks on the chassis of the phone

Just need the PIN, as long as an adult within the delivery address gives that PIN they can receive it for you.

So I was late to the game, only ordered Thursday last.
the conflicting information is shocking, I chose a colour that wasn’t my first choice because the sales guy told me they definitely had it in stock and would be sent out that day.
Hadn’t received anything so phoned Saturday the cs guy told me “ seriously doubt they would have told you it was being delivered tomorrow” almost as though I was lying.
He told me it should be out for delivery Monday and then changed his mind and said maybe Wednesday
I’m going to give them a call today and find out if they have stock to send out or not, if it’s going to be 28 days I’ll cancel my order and wait the 28 days so I can have the colour of my choice not a phone sold on misrepresentation. It’s the last month of my contract I may even go elsewhere.
at the end of the day if I was told 2weeks/28days at order I could have made an informed decision at the point of sale.

The time frame to get your phone should be the frame it was at when you’ve ordered.
Usually they do tend to overcompensate on the time frame to give customers “worst case scenario”. I’m expecting device 28 days after I placed my order, as if you read the small print on the confirmation email that was sent, it does state “Whenever you pre-order (i.e. order a device before it is launched), or order a device that is currently out of stock, we will aim to send it to you within 30 days either of the launch date (pre-orders) or of your order (out of stock devices). Sometimes, due to demand, we will not be able to send it to you within this time. If so, we will let you know and if you are unhappy to wait more than 30 days, you can cancel this order. This means we will refund any deposit or amount you have paid for the device and cancel your account. If you are an upgrading customer, and you decide to cancel this kind of order, you’ll still have to pay for any services used before cancelling.”

Been on the phone tracking mine, 14 days on email yet just been told they have none in stock at this moment in time. Waiting on apple to send more, are apple going to sell their own product first in their own stores or send out to contract companies? I can only hope they come through. Such a poor poor service, why pre order when it’s not even in stock and no sign of when it will turn up.

I’ve been considering this also, not because I’m outraged to not have it on launch day but because I was the most on the fence about upgrading this year than any other time before - if they had said at order “probably won’t see this til October/November” I’d maybe have waited, researched & eventually probably ordered but in a time where it would arrive the next day
i use my phone for work and personal, even though the battery health is fine I find around a year in it isn’t lasting as full day comfortably, this upgrade method (anytime) usually solves that however as I was Meh about the 15 a MagSafe battery pack might have been the option and this been the year I got off the annual upgrade bandwagon
