Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

What is the difference between the 02 tracking number and the 03 tracking number EE have give you?

I have the same with the 02 tracking number but the 03 tracking number I can see what I’ve ordered

Yep, I must've checked tracking a hundreds times today, same message 'Sorry we can't check this type of tracking...', 😑

I got mine today, I’m just intrigued that even after phone being delivered I’m still on my old plan.

Hi from EE. Thanks for your recent order. You will receive a Returns Pack within the next few days where you will find all the instructions needed to send back your old device by Oct 7 2023. Remember if you have an Apple device you'll need to disable Find My iPhone to clear all of your device's data before sending it back to us. Love this haven’t even got the phone yet

In past years it’s been quite common for me to have the new phone but be waiting on the returns pack, this year the only direct communication from EE about my order since my order has been returns pack texts and the pack itself turned up yesterday
I called a few days ago to reassure myself the order actually existed and it does, but they won’t give me any kind of tracking number
I’ll probably call again maybe once all the craziness has died down and confirm I can upgrade next year regardless of the delay otherwise the contract is largely pointless, have had that in the past where it was hit and miss for people (myself included) getting an upgrade on pre order day without a fee because of stock/delivery delays

Hi just spoke to EE and they said as I have an open order they can’t change the start date of my contract to today so I don’t have an upgrade fee next year. However when I receive the phone then can roll back my contract start date to today. Hope that helps
