Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Just got off the phone to EE. Had a very stern discussion with a manager who spoke to the escalations team.

Originally got the run-around of "it's a delivery issue". After explaining rather forcefully that the anytime upgrade pre-order delays are NOT the fault of the customers, Apple or DPD and responsibility lies solely with EE's utter bungle of the whole thing and their continuation of selling new devices and plans whilst us anytime upgrade customers were unable to, y'know, upgrade anytime... they agreed to escalate the complaint.

I appreciate they can't magic a phone out of nowhere, nor was I expecting them to, but I did get what I believe to be a reasonable solution, given the circumstances;

They've applied the £30 token credit to my account, but they've also agreed to adjust my new contract start date to todays date, which will take effect when I receive the phone (whenever it arrives). Effectively it means that my ability to upgrade anytime and get next years device on release day will remain unaffected, even if this device takes a month to arrive.

Should be receiving an email explaining all this shortly.

Hello all, thought I'd share my experience.

Wednesday I ordered an iPhone 15 Pro 256GB Natural Titanium. I was told at the time there were almost 50 in stock. It was expected to be delivered today or tomorrow.

 I've had no communication on my order so just got in touch with EE via chat. They've now told me that Apple haven't sent EE this model capacity/colour. It's now 7 days until it gets sent out.

Whether it's EE or Apple, somebody has over promised which in my book is poor customer service.

Hmm, when I spoke to them this morning they told me they couldn’t adjust my contract start date. Going to call them back to get this sorted. Don’t want it to effect my upgrade anytime!

15PM 512GB Natural Titanium delivered 09:30 this morning.

given the confirmation at 1:15PM on the 15th was a complete screw up and the order finally went through Saturday 16th at 08:30, that’s got to be a success

DPD never delivered today.  DPD app up to around 2pm said it will be delivered today. It’s just changed to say Monday.  Can’t get through on the phone to DPD.

Again at least you have it getting to you. A lot of us are still waiting…

I was originally told the same, then I asked to escalate it because the £30 credit wouldn't touch the sides of the inevitable £300 early upgrade fee.

I said, in no uncertain terms. that the only resolution I'd accept was an amended start date or a £300 credit, applied at the time of next years pre-order to cover the early upgrade. I also politely explained that one months bill that doesn't get paid by adjusting the start date would be less financially bruising than the £300 credit, and that I knew which resolution I'd offer...

Didn't take long after that! Hope you get the resolution you're looking for 😄

I rung today to chase up my 15PM, they said to expect it in 28 days 🫣

Not a problem with the thread as a whole, it’s the sheer amount that feel EE need to give them personal / special treatment. If it ain’t in stock you gotta wait. Simple, if you believed a word from CS to begin with you are more silly than you prob look. Demand is outstripping supply simples. 

I’ll sit and wait patiently and watch from afar as some of you make out like it’s the end of the world.
