iPhone 15 & 15 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Just to try and give folk a bit of hope; I ordered Pro Max 512gb in Titanium and an Apple Watch Ultra 2. I got a DPD notification this morning but wasn’t sure what it was for. I messaged customer service to confirm and they told me it was for watch. I asked if there  was a DPD tracking number for phone and was duly given this. I’m collecting from my store and turns out that phone is already at my local store for collection tomorrow.  I haven’t received DPD notification for the phone yet.

I’ve literally just phoned Ee. I pre ordered Friday and have just been told it’s up to 28 days for delivery 😭

Ordered mine yesterday September 20th 7am email says will be dispatched in more that 28 days ouch IPhone Pro Max 256G Black

Ordered standard 15 at 3.30pm ish on Friday and Apple Watch last night around 9pm, both were picked up by DPD around 8am today!

Having worked for a very large online e-commerce company, I can tell you it’s simply lazy staff when it comes to inconsistent promises and dates. They want you off the phone, rather than being honest with customers and saying “I don’t know” they lie or guess because otherwise the customer will say “why don’t you know” and you’ll be on the phone with them longer. 

I would suggest everyone who received such poor inconsistent info - submit a quick complaint via the form, I know sometimes it seems pointless to do so but pretty much every retailer online links their bonus to NPS (Net Promoter Score) and more complaints the more that tanks…. The more NPC tanks, the more likely they’ll fix it so it doesn’t happen in future.

We are working hard to get your iPhone 15 Pro Max to you as soon as possible, and there is no need to call us to get an update on its progress. We will be in touch with further updates before we despatch your phone.

I was told mine should be there for launch day but I am not convinced. It should have been delivered to my local EE store.

Ex-call centre ops manager here. That’s not lazy staff, that’s bad planning and comms from management. Blaming the frontline staff isn’t on, though I do agree that the hit to NPS will make management take note. It will also result in the frontline agent being penalised as even though most surveys say that NPS scoring is only about the business as a whole, in reality it’s one of the agent’s quality KPIs just like the other feedback categories.
