Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

@ThomasLewis same for me 🙂 My EE app at this stage won't load the number I have upgraded so It's usually a good sign (based on previous years)

I was nearly copy/paste the chat message and realised what have we come to.
Organisation being the highest telecom company and just realised follows:
- Poor service level with zero transparency. No EE staff account step in and attempt to cool the situation down.
- Lack of stable ordering system for an IT company.
I just remember one guy said about company being proud as they are the best provider.
Hiding behind with no intention of defuse the chaos is the worst attitude.
Not sure what they are proud of. SMH.
We all consumers can continue connecting the dots from chat screenshot. Happy savaging.

Reading over the posts on this forum it seems plausible that an 003 order number relates to orders where the stock has been allocated.
002 relates to backorders.
Could be completely wrong? I am stuck on an 002 number, CS and LiveChat tell me there is no 003 number. Saying that, I have also ordered an iPhone 15 and that too has an 002 number.

I just tried the live chat and got told there is only a number when it's despatched and that she was only a chat advisor and had nothing to do with phone sales.
They told me XKO just relates to online orders and then nothing about 02 or 03 numbers.
So it seems if you order online then you can track but over the phone you can't.
I stand by my earlier post that it's not the end of the world but it baffles me how inconsistent EE can be with their processes and communication. I can't think of a single other vendor I use for anything that don't supply an email or text when you place an order, even a pre-order.

I haven’t been able to access the MyEE app for ~3 days, just says “we are improving the app”, also can’t access my account on the website as I have an ongoing account issue for the last 3 months, haven’t even been able to view my bills. Having to trust they are correct.
It’s like the epitome of EE really isn’t it 🤣

There's people that have posted earlier on this forum that ordered over the phone and received an '03' number via E-Mail which they were then able to track using the EE website.
XKO numbers can't be tracked online, they seem to be the equivalent of '02' numbers but are received when upgrading online.
XKO & 02 numbers cannot be tracked.
03 can.
That would indicate its possibly linked to stock allocation.

I ordered over the phone around 1600 on the 16th and got a 03 number right away.
Just spoke to them via chat and they assured me that the orders are being fulfilled in bulk and I should expect the status to update in the next 24hrs.
