iPhone 15 & 15 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Then one of the largest carriers in the UK had no stock of the Pro Max for launch day….makes no sense?

I do hope you’re not suggesting this guys friend in corporate affairs (Jeff) is either not real or is lying. This Equil guy (I don’t know him tho, seems cool) posted something on the internet and I for one believe him.

I managed to get my pre order in on Saturday because the system was down for all “anytime upgrade” orders. Also preordered a watch ultra 2. I’ve had no emails or texts confirming (so no order number) and called CS tonight. The orders are live but no idea when I’ll get them. The watch is likely for Friday but the phone is anyone’s guess. Really feel for the guys on the phones and after all these years I still can’t grasp how Apple can’t give delivery schedules to their suppliers!

Not suggesting anything. Just feels a bit weird. If true I don’t think it’s happened before for EE? For such a big company to  have 0 stock of the Pro model on launch day?

This isn’t my first EE rodeo … like I said in my first post - EE always seem to make iPhone preorders a nightmare … left hand has no clue what the right is doing.

This year’s total system collapse is a new one and one I think they brought on themselves.

Yes - sometimes despite the shamble phones do turn up on launch day (I’ve waited two weeks before too) and as others have said - the DPD app seems to be the first real indication that things are going your way or not.

I struggle to be believe (or accept)  at this point that despite the shambles they can be, the UK’s largest network has ZERO pro max iPhones. Please be wrong the person reporting this.

In other news - I was able to pin someone down at EE and get an order number which tracks online and shows my order and confirms my preorder date.

Just playing the waiting game like you guys.

In my case, website was constantly crashing on Friday from 1pm but about 5pm it went thru and gave me email with xko and please call we need more details. 6.30pm a decided to give them a call and after 35min wait i been told to call tomorrow as upgrade system dont work. First try on Saturday 2pm and CS line was dead, 4pm line still dead (just a woman telling please call tomorrow and disconnection) . Next call 6pm and finally i was connected after 45min wait. Very kind woman confirmed my iphone order (pro max 512 natural) and helped me to upgrade contract for watch ultra 2. Instantly i got 2 emails with 03 order numbers one for iphone and other one for watch. When i asked when i will receive them she didn't know but when i made a little joke about huge amount of people being desperate to get them on launch day she said that will be with me probably between 14 to 28 days. That was properly the safest for her to say.

A supervisor placed my order on Friday 1.45pm with order confirmation, he said warehouse stock showed 999+ on the system for Pro Max 256 Nat - I did ask if any other variation / colour would get me the phone on the 22nd and he said you don't have that problem as yours will be delivered on launch as it's showing in stock . So I'm not too sure anymore.

Re my last post - I'd sell the iPhone 14, not the 15. If the ee 15 turns up I'd just return it.

Theory time!

People who upgraded online and had no upgrade fee to pay and no postage charge, seem to have not received a 003 order number. If you paid an upgrade fee or a postage charge then you'll have received a 003 number. 

Someone else posted about the contract date being missing on the online account, on my watch and iphone the date is missing. On my other 2 phones everything is normal. So who knows! I've only had an xko reference, but the ability to try and upgrade has been removed. 

So much speculation. I wonder if we'll remember all this next year?
