Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

I got it. If that is true, EE dropped the ball big time. Mishap happens.
Only thing unbearable is how messed up the back system down and order intake system are out during crucial time.
This shows that something is systemically not right in EE management.
OCD and occupational hazard kicks in being an auditor as day job. Thanks for info again so I could keep the bar low.

It is first come first served. However, I'm not quite sure how you know you're specifically the first person to order to device. If a rep has told you that I'd take that with a grain of salt because they're most likely just telling you what you want to hear.
As for receiving the phone on Friday, the reps are just repeating what they've been told to say - nothing more. As I said earlier EE is trying to mitigate the issue as much as possible which apparently includes giving people false hope. The website stated 14-days from the get-go because those estimates are set by the acquisitions team, not CS.
But yes, you (and most others on this thread including myself) will be among the first to receive the handsets when they become available to EE, which is within the next 14 days.

"posts like this really aren’t helpful"
I beg to differ. It's up to you if you choose to believe what I'm saying or if you choose to bury your head in the sand and just call it speculation. I'm telling you what I've been told. You may not find it helpful but others will. If it was me, I'd rather have some transparency on the situation and know what's going on.
To each and their own, but there's no need to be sarcastic and arrogant about it, I'm only trying to help.

Of course man, it's not a problem.
Regardless, we're all in the same boat here and we're all after the same thing. We just want our phones on Friday.
I'm as hopeful as everyone else here, fingers crossed that someone at EE pulls a miracle and we do see that notification come through from DPD.
I want the information I've been told to be wrong, I really do.

Just to clarify, what you have been informed about no delivery on Friday is specific to the Pro Max, right?
All the other models 15, 15 plus and 15 Pro are possible deliveries on launch day, right?

From reading this thread over the last few days I think it’s clear to say that no one really has any idea on the situation and it’s all speculation.
I’m just going to keep my fingers crossed for a 15 Pro Max on Friday 🤞🏽

I believe I have this too, I spoke to CS twice and this is the number that was given to me, no other codes, I guess it’s just a waiting game.

I had a seemless upgrade last year so didnt visit the community thread, the year before was my last post before posting today and i just had a quick browse of that thread, while not exactly the same as this years it is much the same - the phone always turns up so i'm choosing not to get too worked up.
I think the last time i remember it being really bad was the Iphone X where thursday evening instead of DPD texts people got a text from EE telling them they wouldnt have the phone until November?, the 13 if i remember i was looking at mine and 2 family members and tracking changed from weeks after release to days to them all turning up the day of/day after release date

I’ve got a uncle who also works at EE Corporate Affairs, if anyone is looking for a well priced bridge he’s got one listed on eBay
