Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

@royzer76 is there an order number on the text you received? Does it work in tracking if there is?

@greenbadger.… it just says ‘your order is complete’ with a link to where I can get updates and track. The link just goes to the tracker and you need an order number which I don’t have.

I had an order number (xko) but when I called this morning they could y find any record of it.

You should call them back again, I ordered yesterday at 12:56 all I had was the xko number and had to call to confirm the order, got a text through confirming the order was placed but no other email with a 03 order number, called today to check and didn’t even have to confirm the order or the xko number the advisor had the details of my order there and confirmed I’d get it delivered on launch day.

if you have an XKO number, call or message CS to get the other order number, that’s your confirmation that it’s ordered
in terms of tracking, it’s waiting for DPD for alerts which won’t be till the day before. Download the DPD app and register your emails for instant tracking the moment it shows on their systems!

When I track my 003 number the status says order confirmed. I ordered online and got the xko number but with a message to call which I did, chap sorted everything. All looking good.

I'm going out on a whim here and saying none of us are getting our Pro Max's on release day.
Those who have ordered regular Pro's mostly likely will, but it's the Pro Max that I don't think EE have available on release.

Was a nightmare to get this iPhone ordered, ordered online at 2:30pm yesterday after trying since 1pm only for me to be told to call to verify details. So did that after about a total of 2hrs 20mins on hold over two calls only to be told the internal system are down so they can't process my order, the advisor said they would call be back if it comes back or before they close to let me know what's happening.
They did call back before they closed only to be told the systems are likley to be down most of the night. I called back in the morning after 40 mins on hold a nice person processed my order and I now have my proper order email.
Must have spent nearly 4hrs on hold in less than 20hrs, this has been the worst upgrade experience I've ever seen. Definitely buying outright next year to avoid this.
I honestly don't know why EE bother doing online orders when that xko number is meaningless and you have to call and they have to order from scratch anyway. Absolutely ridiculous system. And I'm an upgrading customer with 9yrs with them so it's not as if they don't know who I am. I'm using the same name, address, bank info and I'm logging on to order so what the hell is there to verify?

I was told I’d receive it on release date, even though it said within 14 days.
