i have been with EE for over 20 years starting with orange I have upgraded every year I can believe they want me to pay £330 upfront cost on a phone I’ll be upgrading again next year I have 5 phone with them 2 iPad sims, 2 Apple Watch esims and a SIM card for my card I pay over £380 a month and for some reason they want to charge me for the phone I have checked several other networks and the most they want is £30 I am seriously considering buy the phones I want direct from apple and moving network provider this time next year nothing like loyalty deals 😡😡

I have always upgraded every year for the pass 25 years I will not pay the £300 on principal I have 5 mobile phone contracts and 2 ipad sims 2 Apple Watches and a sim only for my car some of these are out of contract all ready but the rest have 9 months left to go then it’s bye bye Greedy EE the silly thing is they are to big to care about little old but if enough little people leave they might listen

I have actually logged a complaint over this pricing issue because when customer services at EE have difficulty justifying the pricing of these models, you know something rotten is going on.

I full expect my complaint to either go unattended or to be fobbed off with some wishy washy excuse that does nothing to justify the higher costs upfront on EE compared to other networks

I have too. It’s outrageous that they’re ripping off loyal customers! I will leave the network if they don’t adjust their pricing

i had a conversation about the complaint and the guy at first tried to justify it as being an "in contract" upgrade, i.e the upgrade anytime and therefore does get the same discounts as other upgrades would.  However, when i pointed out to him that doesn't apply because they are charging the same price for brand new customers he was a bit dumbfounded and couldn't defend it himself.  He apologised and said there was nothing he could do about it as thats the price that is set but he agreed with me that he wouldn't be paying that upfront for a phone.

He also looked at competitors websites and again agreed they were offering comparable packages without the massive upfront costs.

So the long and short of it is that unless EE have a Liz Truss style sudden u-turn in the near future, things aren't going to change for anyone wanting the 1tb Iphone 14 Pro Max

Hi

It is shocking the prices that ee think is acceptable as an up front charge. They are starting to price themselves out of the market . When my contract is up it’s either a reasonable sim deal or bye bye from me. This year I bought the ultra watch from John Lewis and it was delivered the next day and iPhone pro max from Apple over two years . A lot cheaper and ana img service from both .

the fact that two different CS advisors and now someone from the "Executive Team" have expressed disbelief at the prices just goes to show how bad they are.

However, I suspect if they were going to do anything about the price, they wouldn't do anything until such a point that anyone, or at least the majority of those who paid the upfront cost have passed a point they couldnt ask for a refund due to the price change.

I spoke to the Executive Team myself today and I got the normal speel about the number one network…blah blah blah. However, I said that is subjective and he fundamentally said that he couldn't help with a reduction and offered to end my service because I'm within my 30 days. Talk about quality customer service from EE, They do not care about my custom.

Do you even hear yourself. You sound so entitled. You are no different to anyone else. There are literally thousands of people with high bills and multiple devices. You are not special. They owe u nothing and they do not owe you an explanation of their pricing. They set their prices. You don’t get to demand explanations. The pure entitlement on this place at times is mind blowing. It’s 330 up front fee for everyone. U want one or u don’t. Ur not entitled to it for free. You CHOOSE to upgrade every year. No one Forces you to and EE  certainly don’t owe u a single thing. U pay for a service. Not happy ?? U can vote with your wallet. Entitlement is a horrible thing to witness. This actually feels like it could be a joke post. That’s how genuinely mind blowingly entitled it is.

You don’t understand do you I have been with them for 20 years they have allowed me to upgrade every year with no upfront fee I have just ask why are they charging £330 upfront fee when other network aren’t EE bang on about being the biggest and best so they would probably sell the most iPhone each year therefore they would get the best deal from apple this being the case why are they charging so much it’s not entitlement to expect the same service year on year if fact a a loyal customer i expect better service year on year to ask a question is also not entitlement why are EE to scared to comment with us Answer they’ve be caught out being Greedy simple
