I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

Great news guys! No updates or texts but….

I just called EE now and the rep said that my phone has been picked up by DPD and is on its way to their warehouse. I was told originally I might have to wait up to 14 days for it! I think we are all going to get one pretty much!

EE don’t send these or pack them. They are dealt with by sycnon at Hinckley. It’s a huge distribution hub. No iPhones will be shipped tonight as apple will have placed a hold on all iPhones until Friday.

I've just got off the phone with EE for the second time and although the woman I spoke to was a bit abrupt she informed me that I can't get my £100 anytime upgrade fee waived because I have applied a student discount onto my monthly plan, and that "you cant get double discount".

So the chances of a refund on what seems to be an unfair fee are seemingly lost 😞

Dunno if anyone else noticed it, but I just checked the availability on the black iPhone pro max 1 TB.  That was the only pro max handset that was (until recently) showing as 'available at launch'.  It now updated to a 21 day wait.  That sorta gives me hope, as it shows that they are somewhat updating stock levels...or at the very least, wasn't some sort of arbitrary false promise.  I preordered mine on monday, which was at that time showing expected delivery on release date.... so fingers crossed that I'll be able to share in the New iPhone joy day on Friday!!!  I usually am pretty good at placing my order when pre-orders first become available, but for some reason, this slipped me by this year.  I was horrified when I realised that preorders had been going for 3 days before I became aware of it and frantically placed my online order.  But here's hoping I won't pay for my folly!

Thank god someone else ordered there’s on Monday! I ordered my pro max in deep purple on Monday because I was away all last weekend with no signal. Hoping I get mine on Friday, no update from dpd but I’m hoping it’ll change by tomorrow evening. A agent told me on the phone that the stock levels have changed and now if you want to order a phone after the launch date, you’ll be waiting about 2 months. This is my first pre order and honestly I won’t be doing it again 😂 mine hasn’t been picked today which is disappointing but they said it’ll change by tomorrow.

That gives me hope then having ordered at 4ish on the pre order day if you’ve ordered on Monday and was still showing delivery on release day. 
tried to go apple route for upgrade programme but their pre order system was a shambles and wouldn’t let me - worked out well cause realised with nhs discount EE worked out better

That would depend on what specific one you pre-ordered.  If memory serves me correctly (and it very well may not, as I was frantic when ordering) I think the only pro max model as showing availability on Monday was the black 1 TB..... otherwise, I would have ordered the purple one!
