I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

I’ve never had any issues in previous years so hopefully not this year

 

There will be some disappointed faces come Friday if they don’t appear

Im still awaiting confirmation 😔

No texts from EE or anything despite preordering on Friday. 

My gut has been telling me Wednesday delivery all day but I didn't want to believe it. 

Can't say I'm not disappointed

Just to throw my current experience into the discussion, still no change on the account (showing awaiting confirmation and order received on the online tracker)

 

No DPD text or email yet, the app is hit and miss for me as my new build address  doesn’t show in their list of properties when I try to add my home address in the app. Sometimes stuff shows up but sometimes it doesn’t. 

I just called and got told the order is picked and expected on Friday. This happens every year, in fact for the 12 Pro I ended up not getting any dispatch emails until 5am on the day and it came same day!

I've just been on the phone to EE regarding the £100 upfront cost I paid as part of my Anytime Upgrade. I explained the situation to her and she seemed totally clueless as to what I was on about. She was confusing the upfront cost with the anytime upgrade fee. I tried to explain to her and she spoke to her manager who said they cant refund me my £100 upgrade fee? 

 

Could you tell me how you got this sorted? And what department you had to call?

Hi. I’d log a complaint. They will sort it out and be reasonable. Ringing up won’t get you anywhere I wouldn’t have thought.

Waiting on a 14 PM Space Black 512 … ordered just after 1300 on Friday … confirmed by email with 002 order number at 1311.

No movement on mine yet … will keep you posted.

After last years mess my expectations are low so as to avoid disappointment.

According to the cs agent I just spoke to mine is picked. As someone said earlier in the thread. Orders will be being picked picked from today. Despatched to dpd from tomorrow. Silvered by dpd from Friday.

Struggling with an old iPhone since my 12PM broke down on me - desperate for this 14PM on Friday to back to normality. 

I’ve seen quite a few saying they’ve had confirmation it’s been picked by EE CS - so this is definitely a thing then?

@DrZ7 definitely a thing. Any retailer you order anything from should be able to tell you the status of an order such as has it been picked.
