iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Preorder tracking thread

I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

Yes the communication from EE leaves much to be desired but what information can they give you?  They don’t know anything. The order is processed and sent to the warehouse (who deal with not just EE but other carriers and stores). Once the order is allocated to a handset it gets picked and the dpd label is printed. All EE can see is that they have no stock. I’ve said on this very thread days ago to everyone to stop ringing cs as they don’t know anything and will say anything (wrongly in my opinion) to make you feel better and end the call. They can’t make it go any quicker.  Also I keep seeing that some people have been told that they wait until they have so many phones before they ship?  That’s nonsense,  they get the order and process the next one and get it out the door. I’ve also said before that apple are masters of the logistical supply chain but even they have issues. Don’t forget they have their own stores to stock, the website orders (which had order dates slipping within the hour on preorder day), all other carriers to stock too. 

First come first served basis……

if you order online with EE it will be placed but has to be manually processed to be a accepted and complete order. If you order on the phone the order is processed there and then so will join the queue. So in effect let’s say you order on Friday via the website and I order on the Monday via the phone my order could actually be ahead of yours as yours may not have been processed yet due to the sheer number of orders being placed. 

The sheer amount of waffle in that reply is blowing my brains.

you or I nor anyone else in this thread know 0 about how EE handle their logistics. It’s clear as iv order a 14pm deep purple 128gb on the 9th September with only one singular email confirmation the day after, yet people have received the same spec as me and ordered 5 days later?

Probably best you don’t speak about something you have no knowledge of. 

It’s a list of people they are ticking off at random. Put it politely - best to zip it and wait your turn.

You have been on these forums for a few days. I’ve been here for 3 years. 

You say I don’t know what I am talking about, can you please show what I have wrong and why?  You don’t know me and are assuming I have no knowledge on this matter at all yet have not given any statements to show what I have written is wrong. 

you ordered on the 9th you say?  I guess as you don’t have your phone and didn’t get an email until the next day that you ordered online?  

Best to zip it and wait my turn??

thanks for being personal, however I ordered on preorder day and received my phone via DPD on launch day, like I always do on launch day because yep you guessed it I know how to order and when to order.

I understand your point as you obviously know the ranks in ordering a phone.

 

what we’re frustrated about is that we have to go onto a forum to find out about waiting for DPD for tracking, as EE do not tell you that on the email, 

Also just because you know ordering on the phone is faster, doesn’t mean that we know this, you should order a phone and be put on the same list regardless of how you order the phone 

not all of us care about EE so much to be on a forum for years and years to figure out the backroads to ordering a phone quicker, this is EEs fault at being terrible communicators.

Just had a notification from the DPD app to tell me my phone will be being delivered today and not Monday! So happy! 

I ordered on the 9th September. 128gb Pro Max in silver! 

Hopefully everyone else will start to receive their phones soon!

Interesting discussion but the fact is clear from this very thread that the ‘first come first served rule’ has not been adhered to. 

And that’s the overwhelming disappointment here. We’re all grown ups, and don’t mind waiting for a phone, but there’s an element of fairness here which is clearly missing. 

Added to the calamity of EE’s communication it’s been an absolute poopshow of a release.

Ok so. Ee can’t control the stock but they can and should say this to customers. Fact remains people are getting their phones before others who ordered earlier so I don’t know if there is an excuse for that. I was twice given estimated delivery dates of 28-30th September. Got the pointless dispatch expected within 24 hours on the 28th. Still nothing. People who preferred same day as me have since had DPD notifications and are either getting today or Monday. 
I called CS and they said oh you should get it before the 12th October. Yet I ordered 14th September. Not good enough. I will wait until Monday and if no DPD notification I’m afraid I will cancel and stuck with my current provider, who can deliver within 5 working days 

Can I ask which phone provider has stated they can deliver in 5 days? Because even APPLE are showing as end of October early November.

I just got notification from DPD that they got order details from EE and expecting the parcel shortly.

So that is great.

NOTHING from EE at all since the email upon pre-order, and today I get a flood of messages reg warranty of the old device is over as I upgraded and bla bla bla but Nothing else.

EE really needs to work their customer support.

The people who are actually doing the Customer support I feel sorry for as they get it in the Neck.

So hopefully I have my iPhone Pro Max / Silver / 128 GB in my hands soon.
