I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

Most likely completely dependent on area and availability. I live in Manchester City Centre so most likely have more options. But if you’re in a more rural area for example they’ll probably stick to a route and not allow for change or “upgrades”

Order on the 14th, Deep purple 128gb pro max and no confirmation email only an xko number.
Been on the phone and asked them to check why no 002 number was sent out - given an 02 number but that didnt work.
Mrs ordered a space black 128 gb - she has her 002 number but no movement on her order as of yet.
Not sure why I was told id get it for launch day but was definitely reassured I would have haha.
Lets hope its the 14 days from order so next week it is 😞

I ordered mine in Silver, 128 GB on the 12th and still waiting.
I gave up being upset about the long waiting time because it impacts negatively on my mood.
Just forgetting about it now, and it will arrive eventually.😀

Did anyone else do an anytime upgrade, receive their phone but not the returns packet for the old one so now getting a bit twitchy about a £450 charge. Clearly need to ring them again today but sending the returns pack is not normally something that has seemed slow in previous years.

I received my returns pack yesterday even though the phone is still not coming for another 20 days.
I called EE, they said that’s fine and to contact likewise to inform them that I haven’t received the new phone.
I told them not happening as it’s not my job to that and they need to contact likewise themselves.

Now do I trust it saying dispatch expected in 24 hours 🤔🤔 still nothing on DPD app.

I literally just got a text about my £630 if I don’t return by the 25th. Customer service have told me twice not to worry about it and you actually get 14 days after the new device is returned but I imagine if you ring, you’ll get a different answer!
I have a returns pack but the text said if I haven’t received a returns pack click here https://recycle.ee.co.uk/bag but it takes me to a login page and says my password is incorrect 🤷 *edit* okay, they email you a OTP but I can’t still can’t login as says my order number is incorrect lol

Had had my 'final' reminder yesterday! I've had my returns pack 3 days after I order my phone, I think it was the 12th anyway I'm in the same boat with regards sending the phone back on the 25th, but I've been told be every adviser I've spoken to is that until you have your new device the return doesn't need to happen and nothing will happen. They are just automated messages and nothing will be added to your bill.

Yeah, I’m sticking with the 14 days after received new device but I’m also not 100% confident in not getting the charge then having to ring and get it refunded/cancelled. You know what companies are like, a whiff of a charge they can add and they’ll pounce on it, incorrect or not 😅 We shall see!
