iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Preorder tracking thread

I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

A bit misleading to state that the order will ship for the launch date at the point of being ordered if that's the case.

It happened every year, demand outstrips supply and shouldn’t be a surprise.

There’s also a chip shortage and China have had sporadic lock-downs throughout the year due to Coronavirus which has impacted production of components.

Orders from networks are always ‘best endeavours’

Does anyone know how much it costs when doing a free anytime upgrade how much it would cost to keep old phone?

Looking forward to receiving my Apple Watch Ultra soon! - comes with cellular as standard! Also ordered 2 x iphone 14 Pro Max (both 512gb) and 1 x iphone 14 Pro (256gb). Was going for the 1tb but have never filled up my 512gb iphone 13 Pro Max. I'm on the top EE contract so replace my iphone every year. Ordered the new airpod pro v2.

Hi @Beany96

If you call us on 150, the team will let you know the cost to keep your existing phone.

Leanne.

completely agree. If something says "expect it to be delivered on launch day" that's exactly what should happen. Shouldn't be up to a customer to assume that it's just... "best endeavours".

I suppose it depends now on how many people use ProRAW to shoot full 48-megapixel images - they'll take about 3 times the storage of normal photos.  Also handy to have as much space as possible when shooting ProRes video, but I doubt too many people do that.

I'd go for the Apple Watch Ultra, but EE's upfront costs are too much.  I could go O2 which is considerably more reasonable, but don't have any iPhone with them.  I hope these upfront costs will be reduced or go away next year...

I've also ordered the AirPods Pro gen. 2, but via O2.

Same situation as me, told me its was £630 to pay now but they only took £330 for the 1TB Purple Pro Max and didn't take the £300 for the early upgrade. Hoping (in vain, I am sure) that they won't take the early upgrade as to be fair... everything was delayed last year due to Covid. Lets see... I have my XKO number. Lets see what Friday brings.

I’ve normally found that at the point of ordering if they say expect it launch day there are more successes than failures. They do have to put a certain degree of disclaimer out there though because they don’t know for sure how much stock they will actually get from apple until they get it.

Apple must give a rough indication to the networks how many handsets and the variants they’re going to get.

They’ll have forecasters constantly running the numbers off the manufacturing stats.

I’m sure it adds to the Apple Hype if there’s shortages. It usually clears on a standard year by the end of December/start of January.
