Hi, I have 5G contract, originally activated eSIM, visited EE store yesterday, they fitted physical sim, still not working. iPad on latest software. Have tried rebooting, airplane mode etc. nothing works. Only thing I have noticed is my APN setting fields are blank? Should they have auto populated? Any suggestions?

It turned out to be an EE system error. Apple store completely checked out iPad & gave it a clean bill of health. Tried SIM in one of their units and it didn’t work in that either, but it did connect to 3G. Back to EE store. Level 2 team confirmed SIM allocated to my account and SHOULD work, but it didn’t. Eventually closed down that number & SIM on my EE account. Started again with a new SIM and different number. It works perfectly. Looks like the porting of my old number somehow confused EE’s system. All good now. Only worry is that I need to check that I have the same deal that I originally signed up for on the first SIM.

Thanks for the update @JPKP 🙂

Was everything OK with your plan?

James

I don’t know yet. I bought the original SIM in a local store in August, and the EE store in Westfield were not very sure about it all. Could not get through on 150 (queued for more than half an hour twice) and so planning to go back to my local store when home on Thursday or Friday.

You should also be able to view your plan in My EE @JPKP

Hope this helps.
