Texting Android phones from new Iphone15 no working.

Has anyone else had the problem that  my new Iphone15 will not text Android users? This was not a problem on any prior Apple phones and I have been using Apple for years. Quite a few people that I contact frequently by text are on Android but I now cannot text any of them since using this new phone. It just says message not delivered. I've looked on the Apple site and followed instructions for making sure everything is set up properly in settings, which it is.

I'm an Android user unfamiliar with iOS, however you mention "it just says message not delivered". Does it show "message sent"?

Android differentiates between a message that has failed to send, versus one that's been sent but is pending delivery. And thus two different fixes.
