Now that the iOS 18 beta is on it's 3rd iteration, and with more mobile networks enabling RCS for iPhone. I wondered whether there was any update or plan for when EE will enable RCS for iPhone on the network?
I know RCS has been available on EE for a few years now with Android, and figured they'd be fairly quick to implement it with iOS but doesn't seem to be available yet and wondered if there was a way to get it enabled or just wait for an update in the future?

Well that is a shame but you use what’s good for you. My whole family and friends use iPhone so RCS is a welcome addition but definitely not worth me swapping to android.

I’m using normal sim and my RCS works but you gotta understand it’s a beta for a reason. Stuff is not gonna work for everyone, that’s the whole point of a beta to figure out what works and what doesn’t and get it fixed before public release in September

RCS Working for me iOS 18 Beta 4 - iPhone 15 Pro max. Using eSIM with Pay Monthly.
Enabled by default for me, but you can enable it by going to Settings > Apps > Messages > RCS Messaging and ensure both options are switched on.
You can check status by going to Settings > General > About and look for SIM/ESIM, tap on Network provider and you should get IMS Status.
If RCS is enabled for you, you will see “Voice, SMS & RCS”, If you don’t see this, try rebooting your device.
Like others have said, this is beta software so not everyone may have it “enabled” yet. Either way I hope the above helps.

after updating to 18b4 now I can this and also in sim status it says voice sms and rcs
now my question is can I send the msg now or other person must be on RCS too to receive it?

On google search I found-
messages sent via RCS Chat to someone without compatible hardware or software are automatically converted to SMS or MMS. In other words, it’ll seem to them like you’ve just sent a regular text message with any additional bells and whistles stripped out.

RCS has been enabled as part of iOS 18 Public Beta 2.

I like to give it a couple of updates before installing.
