Anyone else having problems with EE in relation to the delivery of the series 8? Pre ordered mine yesterday and was told that over the phone it will be delivered on launch day. Spoke to EE again this morning and it’s now changed to 3 weeks!

I ordered mine on the 9th Sep, got an email to confirm the order and have heard absolutely since. It doesn’t come up on order tracking and I haven’t had time to wait to get through to someone on the phone so no clue as to when to expect it!

To add further to this, after my email on Saturday I spoke to CS to clarify the situation. She was a lovely lady and agreed to call me back today and she did just that. Unfortunately it has just made things worse as she told me there is no stock of the watch, this after my tracker saying it was due to be dispatched in 24hrs. She said the tracker is wrong. So not only do we have a tracker that doesn't track, we have emails that are incorrect too.

To anyone who wants to order an Apple Watch from EE, I strongly suggest you read my story as I’m still baffled by the audacity of EE’s salespeople / customer care team.
I initially ordered an iPhone 14 Pro and an Apple Watch Series 8 41m on on the first pre-order day at 1pm (9 Sep). Given my additional line on the Watch, I was given a generous 20% discount on my main iPhone line which made the offer quite attractive. I signed the Apple Fitness+ pre-contract for the Watch and to my surprise the actual order was placed for a different plan. I rang them again on the same day and they suggested to cancel the order and place it again, which I did. Delivery date for both items was promised to be 16th Sep.
On the 16th Sep I received the iPhone but no signs of the watch, so I called them again on the 23rd of Sep and they mentioned that they didn’t have any stock for the 41mm, but they would promise me a 7-day delivery if I paid 100p more and went for the 45mm, which I did. I was now at the back of the queue with a 23rd Sep official order date.
I called again today, and the customer care person mentioned that they had 99,999 watches in stock available, for all colors and models except the Gold Stainless Steel. He said that he did not understand why my watch was not delivered given that there was so much stock. I did not believe that and told him that the Gold is the least popular so there must be something wrong with the order table he was looking at, but he kept insisting that I should cancel my order and place another one and that I would receive my watch in a maximum of 2 days (!!). Given my experience with EE, I refused and asked to speak to a salesperson. The salesperson confirmed that there is actually no stock, that the customer care person was confused and that the 99,999 figure was actually the number of back-orders and not stock available. She “confirmed” that I would need to wait 28 days to actually receive the watch.
When I asked to cancel the watch order because of all the lies, they had the audacity to say that the original 20% discount on my iPhone line would be revoked as that discount was only given to customers with an additional line. (nice to see that they have rules, too bad that being honest to customers is not one of them…)
I’ve now filed an official complaint against EE for (i) blatantly lying to customers, (ii) promising delivery dates when there’s in fact no stock available, and (iii) upselling watches (the 45mm had a 100p upfront cost vs the 30p of the 41mm, + a more expensive monthly plan) by tricking customers into thinking that they would receive the bigger / more expensive watch earlier if they upgraded.
If you want an Apple Watch, I would strongly suggest that you go through John Lewis, Apple, or any other channel rather than through EE to avoid what has happened to me and to many other EE customers that have also posted on this forum.

Currently sat trying to get through to them regarding mine. Which was apparently due to be here last week according to CS on live chat. Then when I got a DPD notification the CS said it was both my watch & phone. Then when it was just a phone I was being told it was getting ready for delivery. Let’s see what they tell me today to get me off the phone without cancelling.

I ordered mine last monday s8 41mm in silver was told within 7 days all week no communication or confirmation email cant even track it
iv 9 lines with ee im not a buisness customer and never really have any issues with ee but this watch was goin round in circles
spoke to customer advisor who said its been picked today and will be here tomorow i said iv had nothing off ee or dpd so he said he would send an email to back up what he was sayin i will be surprised if it does come as so many of you hav ordered well before me 😬

After 40 minutes I finally got through. Apparently (biggest grain of salt taken with this) it’s been picked & coming tomorrow. I can’t track it as the updates are going to the number registered to the watch. She did say I could try getting back in touch later tonight or in the morning to see if they can provide a tracking number.
