Apple Watch series 8 delivery

Anyone else having problems with EE in relation to the delivery of the series 8? Pre ordered mine yesterday and was told that over the phone it will be delivered on launch day.  Spoke to EE again this morning and it’s now changed to 3 weeks!

The frustration is that you’re promised a delivery date on the phone when
you agree the upgrade/contract and when that date comes/goes not one person
is remotely interested to help.

If you download the DPD app using the email and postcode, this will show you when DPD have your order ready for delivery.

There's a complete lack of communication from EE on this one.

I pre-ordered on the 10th and the response I got indicated that I could expect it on launch day.

I then got a text on the 15th saying that wasn't the case but giving me no other information other than the web link to be able to trace my order.

The same web link which is consistently telling me "we can't show your order details right now".

I'll be damned if I'm going to call customer services when the information should be readily available, if I have to do that it may well be to cancel my order. Love the network, hate dealing with customer services!

In comparison I got a new phone, pre-ordered directly from the Apple store which I then collected on launch day. I only did this because my current phone is under contract for another year and paying for it direct was actually cheaper in the long term. If I'd know that this was going to happen with the watch I'd have done that at the same time!

It’s horrendous.

I was on hold yesterday for 15 minutes yesterday, someone answered and then the call went…. You’d have thought that I’d get a call straight back but I had to call again…

I’ve now been told it’s an open order and not ready for picking yet. Best thing I can do is wish for DPD to text.

I pre ordered mine on September 9th. I’ve had one email when ordered then tumble weeds.  

Shocking how it Doesn’t show the order on your account as a default  or regular updates with where it is in the process. Then when you find the order page then find the code it gives you no information there either. Shocking service EE. 

I wish I hadn’t bought from EE and waited for Apple Store, I’ve tied myself for another year now.

I mean no shock when I say this but I had a delivery date on the order tracker of the 23rd to the 27th September. That’s now gone back to awaiting confirmation. 

it’s just so poor from them to give an expected date then take it away.

I think thats even worse than mine, I was never go even any indication.

So despite my order tracker changing from delivery between 23rd and 27th September to Awaiting Confirmation I received the following email:

your order is still on track and you’ll have your new Watch S8 41mm Starlight Alum StarBand soon!

Your expected delivery date is: 23rd - 27th Sept 2022

I ordered the s8 45mm midnight on 9th of September was originally told launch day then on the launch day was told it had been delayed now says expected between 28th and 2nd of October. fingers crossed comes in time
