Will EE support International Roaming in the EU if I have the roam abroad smart benefit pass?

Hi Chris,

The watch series 8 is capable and other providers have made this feature available. Therefore, what we, the customers, want to know is if/when there are any plans in the pipeline for EE to also make this feature available. Your line “we don't have any further information to share at this time on when this service will be available” implies it is in the pipeline. However it is the lack of that information that will make customers, like myself, abandon EE and move to a provider where this sought after feature is available.

That’s good news - did the Cellular icon go green in your Apple Watch control centre?
I was in Spain on Tuesday (Apple Watch Ultra 9.1) and could not roam.

@bcomerford At present you can not roam with any smartwatch.  There isn’t even a feature you could enable on your account for it to roam.   If EE make this possible it’ll be announced when it’s possible.

I’ve been in contact with ee technical today who say this should work ! They put me through to Apple care who said it was the network provider who was at fault end of the day I have been on the phone to 8 people and still my watch doesn’t work as it’s supposed to very disappointing

Apple don’t restrict the watch from roaming in any way. If it’s a series 8 / Ultra, or newer, it should be able to roam as long as you have a data plan on a supported carrier

I’m on a plane to Europe now with my friend who is on Vodafone, we both have the latest Apple Watches..

Getting tired of waiting for EE to flick the switch. They used to be the first to support the latest Apple products and features

Same for me. I bought apple watch ultra hoping will be able to use roaming and was a big disappointment that I cannot use it, despite the Apple Watch ultra can support it!!!

all other UK mobile network provides support it and is disappointing that EE is the only one that doesn’t!!! 

makes me about the EE as a company adapting to new technologies and features like this. 
don’t understand the delay for something other companies have already implemented.

What does it mean near future? 2025? 
they need to implement it now, they should have actually by now, when all other UK networks have and while EE claims to be the best from all of them (based on that, is not the best at all and we should be taking this into account when paying our bills…)

Apple Watch ultra roaming is a feature many users were waiting for and is highly disappointing that despite the ultra now supporting it, EE doesn’t!!
