Adding Plan to Apple Watch

I’ve purchased an Apple Watch from EE.

During the setup I’ve selected ‘Setup for Myself’ as this is replacing a previous Apple Watch Series 4 I also purchased from EE.

Each time I try and add the cellular plan I get an issue which says the ‘Plan I’ve purchased isn’t compatible’? See image

Obviously I want to use my Apple ID as this is a replacement watch. Does anybody have any tips?

@dannycapewell  You’ll need to call customer services about this as you should of selected a personal plan when you purchased this but that message says you’ve selected a family member plan.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

As a pragmatic person, and having had issues over the summer with changing my sim only plan, that's exactly what I thought.

Having spoken to Tech Support and Sales, I have to return the watch to be sent a new plan...

Hi @dannycapewell

Thanks for coming to the community.

I would suggest calling our mobile guides on 150 to see if they have the option to change the plan for you without the need to return the watch. They can go through all options with 🙂

Leanne.

Hi Leanne,

The original message is the current position following a call to 150.

What you've stated is what I would have thought would be the outcome... Alas, I've got to return this watch and be sent another watch (that's identical!) tomorrow...

I see @dannycapewell

I am sorry this has happened and hope this is all sorted soon for you.

Leanne 🙂

Hi Chris,

The order was placed via 150 on the basis the app and website wouldn't let me process an upgrade.

I explained the circumstances so I didn't select a family plan - The Agent processing the order did.
