@alexandra57   Who knows.  The device will have to be looked at to find out why. You can go to an EE store for it to be sent of for repair.

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

@alexandra57 - Have you tried the same function while the phone is in safe mode or uninstall Google's phone app and reinstalling?
