I am using a Samsung Galaxy S24+ bought abroad, with an EE Pay-As-You-Go / Prepaid SIM Card.
I do not see the Wi-Fi calling option in Settings.
Is that due to the phone, or due to EE not supporting it for PAYG customers? And what about VoLTE and 5G?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

I found this on another forum:
In the end I had to go on to Vodafone UK Chat and ask them to send me the Wifi Calling Update OTA straight to my phone, which they did just now and within a minute wifi calling option now showing and working,. I now have VoLTE working and Wifi calling working, im using Sim1 and sd card, so very happy
Do you know if there is a way to trigger OTA updates from EE?

Hi @IG1980
Where did you buy it as it will be designed for that region.
Thanks

@IG1980 PAYG customer’s don’t get 5G access (yet ). And WiFi calling and VoLTE is available to PAYG customers.
Your phone is the culprit I recon.

Hong Kong. However, does that mean if/when you travel abroad, WiFi calling wouldn't work?

I spoke to Customer Service and they showed me that even though I cannot see VoLTE in Settings anywhere, the phone is set to it by default. Namely, we Switched off Wi-Fi and VoLTE appeared.
Similar to Wi-Fi Calling.
I also received an OTA configuration update.

@IG1980 WiFi calling is for UK usage only with that EE sim.
