Hi I am due an upgrade but all the phone come with an upfront cost why

@Lisa235 Because the tariff on its own doesn’t cover the full cost of the device so you have to pay an upfront cost to help cover this cost. Mobile phones to purchase outright are around £500 for a mid range device and top of the range devices are from around £1000.
