Had my z flip 5 since November 2023 had no problem with it until now folded down and opened it up again and main screen is blank took to my local EE store who sent it for repair now received a message to say repair not covered by warranty and looking for me to pay for it there is no damage always in cover and looks like new has anyone else had this problem.

Just experienced exact same problem. 3 month old phone and screen developed static out of nowhere. Off to EEs third party repair. Quote for 300 quid (I think they spent their time trying to find any reason not to repair it for free).
Same experience with Samsung, so will now use my insurance. Oh, and leave EE ASAP and never buy a Samsung flip again. (EE have admitted they're seeing a lot of issues like this and neither party gives a toss!)
I'd recommend anyone thinking of buying a flip to reconsider. And I'll be leaving EE after 25 years due to this **bleep** poor reaction.

@Someguy77 So the device manufacturer is saying the same thing as EE as you think EE should repair this under warranty that even the device manufacturer will not do. They both can’t be right surely?

Take a look online the amount of these units all coming back for the same fault exact same line on inner screen not under warranty and saying damaged by dropping not a scratch on mine my advice do not buy one of these samsung service is shocking
