Help with 5g/4g band compatibility

Weizron

Good day,

I would like to buy the Chinese version of the Honor magic v5, but first I would like to confirm if it’s going to work with the 5g/4g bands.

4g bands supported: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 26, 28, 34, 38, 39, 40, 41, 66

5g bands supported: 1, 3, 5, 8, 28, 38, 41, 77, 78 SA/NSA

Based on my own research it looks like it supports most of the bands with a couple missing, but I am not an expert on this topic.

Could I please get a confirmation, whether it will work properly with 5g or not, from someone who is well versed in this?

I live in London, just in case it matters.

Thank you in advance for the help!

Hi @Weizron

No guarantees those are the actual bands which work becase that device is Chinese market only if that is the one you are buying. Just buy the European/UK version when it is released.

Thank you kindly for the quick reply!

I have seen some information that the EU/UK version will be 12gb ram + 512 gb vs 16gb ram + 512 gb for the Chinese version.
It is also expected that the local version will cost £400 more than the Chinese.
I think based on your advice, I will just hold on with the purchase until the local version releases, so I can see the actual price and storage variants.

Thank you for your quick response again.
