I’ve had my EE tv for a few weeks, everytime it goes in to standby mode it comes back on with no information available for channels I reset it and it works everytime once reset but takes a while to come back on, I’m using the Ethernet cable so it’s a direct link, it’s super frustrating having to reset everytime it turns off, any ideas ??
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

That’s not right. But do you mean you lose all the channels, or just that the EPG needs to refresh?
As it will need a minute or so to repopulate the EPG, as this will have moved on while it was asleep. Are you giving it that?
Which Standby Mode have you got it in? (Settings/Power & Standby/Standby Mode) I like the recommended SMART.
If the EPG still doesn’t repopulate, then instead of resetting, it, try powering it off and on again. That should be quicker, and you won’t lose your settings each time.
But if this is still the case, you will need EETV to investigate further.

Hi, it shows all the left hand menu channels but when u press on them it says that they are not available ? I just press the EE button on the remote and it then restarts or if that doesn’t work I turn off at the power and then it comes back on, just seems to take a while to warm up and the all channels with descriptions etc come back on again I’m wondering if this is “normal” ??

Switch on box.
All on the remote:-
press blue button (older YouView boxes) or Home button (it has a house on it) on the latest boxes.
Up Arrow twice or three times to get to Search (but don’t OK that)
Right arrow once (or more) to Settings, a little gear wheel. Do OK that.
Down arrow once, right arrow twice to get to Power & Standby. OK that.
What does Standby Mode say?
(NB: it’s well worth learning what the options in Settings do, and fine-tuning them for your setup and preferences. As with the issue you have, there are all sorts of tweaks that can improve your viewing experience),
