Transferred from BT to EE

Hello,

I've recently moved from BT to EE but decided not to take out EE TV as the additional channels were of no interest to me.

Whilst with BT I bought several films but I can't access them or i'm looking in the wrong place. The BT viewer has stopped working so I'm unable to watch any of my purchases.

Help...

Mike

Yes, that's correct - you cannot make any purchases in the EE TV app anymore, and trailers are no longer available.

Sorry about that Mike - I've fixed your account.  Log into the EE TV app with your EE ID, and you'll now be able to watch your purchases.

Hi Darren,

I'm sorry it didn't resolve the issue.

I spoke to EE technical support and they are telling me that I need to be paying £15 per month to access my BT purchases which can't be right as I have bought them once. There used to be an app called BT TV Purchases but on my last phone update it disappeared. Is there an equivalent in EE?

Mike

The EE TV app is the place to watch your purchases - even after you've stopped your subscription.

When you log into the app, make sure you select the "EE Broadband" option, and then log in with the email address you logged into this forum with.

Edit: sorry - I've just spotted that I missed a bit.  Please try again now.  If it fails, please let me know the error code it shows in the app.

Hi Darren,

That's sorted the mobile app, thank you.

I've just tried the TV box using the EE TV app and its still reporting the same code BTP 15990. Almost there...

Mike

Ah no - it's not possible to watch purchases in the EE TV app on any model of TV Box, or from Apple TV.

You have the choice of: Android or iOS mobile or tablet, Chromecast, Samsung TV, Amazon Fire Stick, or on a Windows PC (via https://player.ee.co.uk/)

Hi Darren,

That makes it much clearer, thank you.

I assume any new purchases I wish to make will have to be through Amazon Prime or similar. It would explain why trailers don't load in the app. Still I have recovered my purchases which was the main concern.

Thanks for the help.

Mike

@DarrenDev

Thanks - you just reminded me why I still buy BluRay discs 😛
