Talking Pictures TV

I am dismayed to find that TPTV isn't available on EE/BT TV, although it is on Virgin, SkyFreeview and Freesat. Are there any plans to make this popular channel available?

@borobob   EE don’t own the rights to stream content that’s owned by someone else.  Thats called piracy.  You know the legal side of streaming, perhaps **** ****.

I too was told/promised i would receive Talking pics, by 3 yes 'THREE' sales staff  but guess what ???  I did not, however i stood my ground and after a couple of correspondence they saw the error of their ways and BT/EE have now supplied me with the channel in question by connecting it to my good old fashioned aerial  Relieved but not happy that as a new customer i had this much hassle !!

Talking pictures is now on freely so hopefully at some point it can make it's way to EE TV in IP mode

Very little evidence  so far of streaming channels making the step to EETV IP channels so you are being very optimistic if you think Talking Pictures will make that step.  Using their own app (TPTV Encore) is probably a more realistic approach if you don't wish to or are unble to use aerial mode.

That's probably why it's best just now if you are lucky enough and want a recordable box, having a freely tv and the EE pro box for the subscription channels.

They didn't make much effort to add Talking Pictures - easy to get without their tv box using ariel and with Freely App on a tv that will offer all Freely freeview channels for your area. For anyone to suggest Talking Pictures is some unknown channel is absurd. They have huge recognition - mainly from older viewers. CEO was awarded BEM recently for services to TV and Film.

As per my comment above @borobob - the issue is a commercial one.  The channel providers need to agree commercial terms with EE to offer the channel.  We'll happy support Talking Pictures on EE TV, but only on reasonable terms.

Sorry not good enough that it's available on arial. You don't seem to understand significance of having ENCORE available when on broadband. Not renewing until it happens. Virgin and Sky have it!

You don't seem to realise that BT rely on more mature viewers. Those viewers are much more likely to need TPTV. Seems your decision makers are too young to appreciate. Younger people are with Sky and Virgin and get it even their target audience is so more switched on to their needs. Time to make serious talks.

But the issue I and others have had is being told by your sales team we would receive the channel but once we sign up we then don't get it. I don't see this as a commercial issue more just a tactic to get you signed up knowing full well you don't supply it  with no regard for what your customers have requested.
