5 years ago I took out EE 300mbs internet at £35pcm. Speeds were initially low but I was told it might take 2 weeks or more to increase. My cool off period conveniently. Fast forward to January this year. I've never received any speed higher than 70mbs. I upgrade my phone and am told I'm not eligible for a discount as my internet is 'legacy' despite it costing me £70pcm by this point. July 2026 comes around and I received an email telling me there was 'great news' they were reducing my speed to 67mps and I'd need to take a morning off work to hook up all the new equipment etc (I'm still paying the 300mbs price, well double the price for some reason. Since plugging in nothing has worked. I've been quoted £53pcm, quite a bit above the market rate. An engineer was booked to come and make things work. I waited 5 hours and they didn't arrive. Then spend 50 minutes on the phone to a helpful man who attempted to assist but failed, booked me another engineer for a week's time, I'm yet to see if he arrives and decided to lodge a formal complaint for me. I received a text saying the complaint was being looked at, followed 1 minute later by another saying the case was closed.
Several representatives have promised to call me back and haven't.
Also, even though I'm now paying for what EE considers the correct internet to qualify me for a mobile phone discount they 'CANNOT' apply it as I'm already in contract.
I see absolutely zero benefits to using this company. They've done nothing but take advantage and hide behind small print.
Customer service is disingenuous, product is garbage and pricing is through the roof.
Plus, whenever you call as a paying customer you are put on hold and forced to hear how they're the absolute best.
Once upon a time maybe. EE you really have got too greedy and fallen too far. I will spend my life talking people into cancelling your god awful services

@Rippedoff1 : Do you know the names of the EE BB plans you were on with 300 Meg & the plan you are being moved to with 67 Meg?
What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker, not the Postcode Checker.

@Rippedoff1 Sounds as if you were on the G.Fast product delivered over the copper network that is now being obsoleted by OR and back to a copper fttc product max speed 80/20 Mb/s. The product will be shown from the link that @XRaySpeX has asked you to look at for your Home Address. The old G.Fast Router that you have EE will probably look to replace that with there upto date EE Smart Hub 6 Plus version or one similar to that specification.
You say that since you have connected it up there is nothing working, what is the colour off the light showing, linked below the current range if you need to go look also.
