TNT Sports is moving to HBO Max

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) have announced changes to how customers access some of their content.

What’s changing? 

HBO Max app launches on 26 March 2026.

• On 26 March, WBD will launch the HBO Max app 
• On the same date, TNT Sports will move from discovery+ to HBO Max 

What this means for EE customers

EE customers will retain the ability to watch TNT Sports. App content will now be housed in the HBO Max app rather than the discovery+ app.

EE TV customers can continue to watch TNT Sports TV channels via the TV guide as usual, and if they have a TV box Pro, Edge, or Apple TV 4K, the HBO Max app will be available on those devices from 26th March 2026 (Apple TV 4K customers will need to download the HBO Max app).

Hi

I can’t login to HBO max using my current discovery + login as it doesn’t recognise my email address.

i have tnt sports as an inclusive extra. I have previously activated it and watched it on discovery +

I am an EE mobile customer, not internet 

What do I do?

Just sign in with your discovery account that you used with ee then when you activate it with sky use the same email address that you had with ee 

that’s what I did and it’s all working 

I have basic with ads 

not sure what package you will have

Hi. I did that and got on HBO  fine. Used same email address and password. I’ve got TNT sport fine but no access to any other channels. So I’m now signed in okay but can’t get anything else apart from sport

I done that. I have tnt sport that’s crossed over from EE but no other channels or access

@Jasper30 your sport subscription automatically carries over from discovery+ using the same email address - this is what you're currently seeing. It's only for sport - no other content in HBO Max.

If you also have Sky then you need to follow their HBO Max activation process. If you use the same email address as the account with sport on it then the subscriptions will be merged together into one account.

Hi Darren. I do have sky but it’s doesn’t merge. I’ve tried activating and it’s not working.. I activate and I can get in HBO signing in with my email and it shows TNT but no access to anything else

Yes. So when I sign in I  can get in fine. Just no access to other channels. And I’ve gone through sky

I’ve just tried again. I try activate with sky and  it says great news. You now get HBO free. To activate use your email address which is the same as my EE. 
 When I click continue it takes me straight to HBO and I’m in. With no access and only TNT sports

I have TNT sports through EETV and watch Discovery+ My email says just download the HBO Max app and use my Discovery+ log in details but it wont let me log-in ("that email address or password doesn't look right")

The HBO max instructions say that  I have to go to MyBT account and activateTNT sports ?????

What do I have to do to sign in?
