Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) have announced changes to how customers access some of their content.
What’s changing?
HBO Max app launches on 26 March 2026.
What this means for EE customers
EE customers will retain the ability to watch TNT Sports. App content will now be housed in the HBO Max app rather than the discovery+ app.
EE TV customers can continue to watch TNT Sports TV channels via the TV guide as usual, and if they have a TV box Pro, Edge, or Apple TV 4K, the HBO Max app will be available on those devices from 26th March 2026 (Apple TV 4K customers will need to download the HBO Max app).
See our help page for further information.

Entertainment has never been part of the EE mobile offering @Craig1805 - it was just a free bonus. The add-on has always been for TNT Sports.

@DarrenDev OK, many thanks.

I'm afraid not, the Inclusive Extras terms and conditions specify:
"We may at any time change the range of Inclusive Extras available, the content of Inclusive Extras or the minimum length of time each must be active for. We will try to notify active users of the affected Inclusive Extra if we do this but are not obliged to."
If you are on a non-iPhone Full Works plan you would be able to swap your Inclusive Extra if you no longer wished to maintain TNT Sports and take advantage of another option.

@Matt_124 I didn't think so, but it was worth a try! 🙂

I have a Sky box and previously used the Discovery Plus app to watch TNT sports on the Sky box. I have logged into the new HBO Max app on Sky with my EE details and I can still do this no problem. But Sky have also given access to HBO Max Content, excluding TNT sport for free if you activate it - which I have. I'm now left with two logins one from EE on one email and one from sky on another email and can only watch TNT on the EE one as expected and Other TV content on the Sky account. It'd be really nice to be able to merge these accounts. I've tried changing the email address of the EE HBO account to match the Sky one, but it won't let me. Are there any other workarounds, for example deactivating the EE add on and then reactivating it with the other email? Or am I stuck with having to log out and in again?

I just logged on with my discovery account that I have with my ee smart benifit to watch tnt but I also activated it on sky and have access to hbo but with ads - I’m happy tho
hope this helps

You only needed to sign in with the account you use with ee ,then when you activate, use that email to sign in

So I wonder if I changed the EE account I used to the same one as the one associated with the Sky account whether it would work with both subs? So far I've been unable to change the EE account email on HBO to the same one as the sky one and vice versa. Would disabling the EE addon, changing the email associated with my EE account and the enabling the add one work I wonder?

@Geoffrogers1078 that should work - if you cancel the add-on then add it again (after the add-on has ended), then it should ask you to activate again, at which point you'd have the choice of which account you log in with.

I'm in a similar boat:
Signed up to new HBO account via Sky this morning. Great, I can access HBO content.
Tried to add TNT Sports to this (which I am entitled to via EE) and I'm told I need to log into HBO with my old Discovery+ details...
So now I have 2 HBO logins, 1 with HBO content, the other with TNT Sports content.
I have tried to change the email address of the older Discovery+ account to match the new HBO account, but that doesn't merge the 2 together so I reached out to HBO support who suggest:
"Because you have TNT Sports via EE and a Sky Ultimate package, your entitlements are currently sitting on two separate paths. To merge them into one single HBO Max account so you can access everything in one place, please follow these steps:
Contact BT/EE Please reach out to their support team and ask them to unlink your current HBO Max account from their side.
Restart the Activation Once unlinked, go back through the BT/EE activation journey (the link or portal they originally sent you).
Use your Sky Email: During this new activation, ensure you use (the same email used for your Sky Basic with Ads entitlement).
Once completed, both your TNT Sports and Sky benefits will be combined under this single account."
I can't appear to unlink my EE account from the old Discovery+/HBO account myself to then relink to the new HBO account as I can't find the ability to do this online. Doesn't look like there is an online chat either, so I guess the only way is to call up?
