Hello,
I've been trying to get sky stream via EE for the last 4 days. At the checkout where I have to pay the 99p charge, I've been getting a message saying 'payment service isn't available, try again later'. I've tried at different times of the day, different browsers, through the app, cleared cache, still no good. When I contacted EE on the phone, first person told me to just wait and try again after an hour. The next day, I called them again and this time the guide told me because I have an open order with broadband, the system won't let me do any other purchases. I find that odd since I selected sky stream as one of the add-ons when purchasing my broadband package, but somehow the 'system doesn't like it'...why provide the option to choose add-ons when purchasing then? My broadband gets activated in about a fortnight and I was told I need to wait until then to get sky stream...ideally I wanted to get everything sorted in one go.
Also, can somebody actually confirm what the benefit is of buying sky stream via EE, especially when they charge a quid in admin charge. Apart from having my billing in one place(hopefully), is it just better if I get it directly with sky?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @AK2893,
Welcome to the EE Community
I am sorry to hear you have had some issues with your initial order. Just to provide some clarification on your question regarding Sky Stream through EE, there is no difference in terms of the actual product you are buying and though the order is initially placed through ourselves you would be billed directly by Sky, it is not paid through your EE bill.
