Replace and Keep EE TV Box Pro

I’ve had my EE TV Box Pro for nearly two years, and I’ve practically ran out of recording on it.

If I ask for a new EE TV Box Pro, how much will it cost and when would the money for the he new box be added to my broadband bill. When I was with BT, it was something like 3 months before I was charged for keeping the BT TV Box.

Depends on what channels they were recorded from. If they're subscription channels then they'll only be watchable if the subscription is actively on that TV Box - you'd need to keep moving the subscription back and forth between boxes (assuming you manage to find a way to convince the helpdesk to send you another box).

If your only issue is running out of storage then the better option would be to just delete some recordings. The box is capable of holding many hundreds of hours of recordings - will you really be able to watch everything on it?

There is no way to purchase the EE TV Box.  A replacement can be ordered if your box is faulty, but there's no way to request an additional box - only a single recordable box can be provided per account.

If you take a replacement but don't return the previous one, there's a fine that will be charged to your account, but the box will still remain the property of EE and can/may be deactivated in future.

That’s similar to BT. So once the fine is added and payed, would I still be able to watch the recordings from the previous box?

I’ll delete recordings from my subscription channels first. The issue is, I’ve had a health problem which results in me sleeping too much, so I’ve been unable to watch a lot of recordings. It’s a shame these recordings can’t be saved on a hard drive because of the copyrights.
